wauuu This bed is too large

Throbbing. His head is throbbing, and even the light on the other side of his eyelids is too much for him to handle. How much did he drink? Does he even want to know how much he drank? Why had he drank? He knew better, he should have known this would happen-

Oh ugh why does his mouth taste like this...

A deep groan precedes him when he finally rolls out of bed. Why can't he feel carpet underfoo- oh there it is. It's thicker than he remembers it being. His eyes haven't opened yet. He actually has the comforter he'd been tangled up in wrapped around himself tightly, part of it up over his head. His stocking feet are nearly silent as he pads his way down an unfamiliar hall in an unfamiliar house in search of water. He could worry about the rest later, but right this second, he is a spectre in a white duvet in search of relief for his cottonmouth.

America, huh... [he'll look back and forth again, like he has a hard time connecting them when they aren't immediately together]

Chris learned there, too. I should have studied in America a while. All we did here was classical styles; ballet, tango, ballroom, that sort.

I learned ballet before I left Japan, but I learned ballroom and uh. Some other stuff in America. Besides this.

[Yuri's hand wrapped around the opposite arm, his toe tapping restlessly against the floor.]

Break dancing, too? Young Yuri really got shown up once you started that!

Hip-hop, breakstep...my roommate suggested those. [HE scratches shyly at his cheek.]

That's so cool!

[katsudonprince]

[Turning a little bit pink over that. Victor you're sparkling at him.]

I...guess?

[wauuu]

[so sparkling!]

We only learned the traditional styles in Russia! I should have trained in America for a couple years, that sounds much more fun.

I could...probably teach you? Phichit's better at it than me. That's how he gets up so fast after he stumbles.

[He admires his friend for a lot of reasons, and that is definitely one of them. His reflexes were intense.]

Oooh, [he'll look a little distant, as if he's putting something together] huh! That's smart! Break dancing would help with fall recovery. Definitely show me some things-- [he'll point to the pole]

[The idea of Victor breakdancing is a funny one, at least to him, but he nods nonetheless. It is a useful skill, after all, when it comes to what they do.

Teaching pole dancing was a different ball game though.]

I don't know, it's not really meant for everyone. Can you even lift yourself up?

[wauuu]

You think I got five gold medals and can't lift myself? [Yuri he's in like really good shape all around!]

[katsudonprince]

It's a little different on a vertical pole. [He's patient as he explains, gesturing Victor over and taking hold of the pole himself.] You might be able to hang from it, and I bet you can pull yourself up but when it comes to maintaining a proper form it's not as easy as you'd think. How long did it take you before you could fully control your position within a spin?

[wauuu]

Don't worry, I won't be brat when I'm bad at it to start! Promise. [He knows things take practice, he's diligent!]

Victor, that's why you start with the easy stuff. Here, you can definitely swing around. [He demonstrates, letting his weight drop in such a way that he's still supported on one foot, hanging from his hand as he goes in a full circle. He stands back up and steps back to let Victor try.]

[wauuu]

[Victor's gaze is intent on Yuri, yes, he's definitely learning and paying attention and not just swooning. Totally, all those prior things... He'll blink]

One more time?

[Yuri blinks right back at him, but nods and goes ahead to demonstrate again, a little slower this time. Then he changes direction so that Victor can see from the other side. It doesn't even occur to him that Victor's staring at him for anything more than genuine interest in learning.]

[he's tempted to ask "again again" until Yuri caught on, but he assumes the man wouldn't ever teach him in earnest if he got annoying. Victor stands, placing his hands and feet like he saw Yuri, letting his weight move him along. It's decent form! Not perfect, but he's confident and controlled with his body.]

[katsudonprince]

[The upside of working with someone that's already experienced in steady muscular control. Yuri nods, looking satisfied. It wasn't perfect, but he hadn't expected it to be.]

Not bad. think your grip's good enough to swing? Your legs are more involved in it but they're more for steering like this than support.

[He waits for Victor to move again before demonstrating, hopping up and curling his calves around the pole as he made another circle around the pole with his hand bearing the majority of his weight. He swings his legs back around and down in order to get back upright without stumbling. It's really quite a graceful display.]

[wauuu]

[Okay, NOW Victor will obviously swoon]

Wow! It's difficult to pay attention, when the teacher is so sexy. I see why this isn't easy to learn.

[katsudonprince]

[Victor isn't taking this seriously, and Yuri just sighs, shaking his head, his face turning pink at the compliments. He'll just go to pick his clothes up and head back to his room, checking his phone's alerts as he goes.]

Do you know what you want for dinner later? Since the stew's gonna be for tomorrow.

[wauuu]

[he'll pout-- even that was too strong, huh? He'd really have to hold back, wouldn't he? Victor stands to follow, shrugging]

Did you have something in mind?

[katsudonprince]

[He's pretty sure that Victor is just blowing smoke up his ass. He's pretty sure the universe is winding up to deliver another awful sucker punch. He's too tired to resist it at this point.]

Not really, but I can make something up.

[wauuu]

I'll try anything you make! Do you want any help?

[katsudonprince]

Well we can't really make something if we haven't figured out where to start yet. Once we figure that out, I'll know if I need help.

[He's just bustling around the kitchen trying to get ideas now, staring up into cupboards with dried goods. He wished they'd gotten more by way of fresh vegetables.]

You could show me how to make something you like, if you think of something you want.

I'm not much of a cook, myself. Preparing meals for one is rather depressing, so I tend to go out to eat.
