Throbbing. His head is throbbing, and even the light on the other side of his eyelids is too much for him to handle. How much did he drink? Does he even want to know how much he drank? Why had he drank? He knew better, he should have known this would happen-

Oh ugh why does his mouth taste like this...

A deep groan precedes him when he finally rolls out of bed. Why can't he feel carpet underfoo- oh there it is. It's thicker than he remembers it being. His eyes haven't opened yet. He actually has the comforter he'd been tangled up in wrapped around himself tightly, part of it up over his head. His stocking feet are nearly silent as he pads his way down an unfamiliar hall in an unfamiliar house in search of water. He could worry about the rest later, but right this second, he is a spectre in a white duvet in search of relief for his cottonmouth.

I usually sleep up there with him, are you going to kick me out and only keep the dog? [cruel man!!

[He turns pink over that, focusing on the fork in his mouth instead for the moment.]

I'd like an upstairs room but I'm not kicking you out of yours.

All three of us could share! The bed is big enough, I promise.

I. We. I'm not just crawling into your bed! [No matter how much he might have expounded on the virtues of it while drunk, sober!Yuri has more decorum than that.]

We don't have to have sex, I can keep my hands to myself. It'll be warmer than sleeping alone, with this storm overhead.

Also, then Makkachin doesn't have to pick.

[He couldn't deny the truth of any of it, but he's still turning red over the first comment.] Nonono I'll just figure something out for myself, thank you!

[another laugh from Victor, but he won't push any more]

I'll put you in the room one over! You can share the master bathroom if you'd like or just walk down the hallway. I don't mind leaving the door open for Makkachin if he wants to wander between us.

[Yuri nods. That seems pretty reasonable, and he can't really see a reason to worry or argue with that arrangement.]

Ok. I think that'll work pretty well. Thank you, Victor.

Lets get you settled in. Sorry the rooms don't have much in them. [he didn't have the mind to decorate his guest rooms, only the two masters had much beyond the most basic furniture. The room indicated had a bed, an empty nightstand, a free standing mirror and nothing else.

At least the walls are painted a dusty blue to make the white furniture seem less clinical, it's a small touch]

[It's better than nothing. He's not used to all this stark white and black decor and simple suggestions of wood paneling. He missed his wood floors and unpolished walls.]

It's ok. I'll...get used to it. [He would have suggested putting up some things of his own, but he didn't expect to be staying for long enough for it to matter.]

Whatever you want to be comfortable. The closet should be empty for you to hang up clothes. All I have in there is extra blankets for when the heat goes out.

I actually need some clothes for that, first. [As it was, the clothes that had been salvaged from the robbery were barely enough to fill a drawer. He scratches some at his cheek, once again embarrassed about everything that had gone down.]

Do you want to pick some of mine to use? They'll be long on you, but I have a lot of dance wear around. [meaning incredibly comfortable, stretchy clothes that just sort of conform to whatever shape you're in]

Ah...maybe temporarily. Until I can get things that I can actually wear outside the house. [Yuri continues to pick through the last bites of his food with the end of his fork, just fidgeting. Would it be terribly rude to just leave Victor at the table and go hide in the room he'd woken up in for a while? Probably. He would have gone back to the studio space, but now he's afraid Victor will follow him back in there.]

We won't be going anywhere for a few days, with the storm. May as well get comfortable. [Victor will jolt a bit, feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket. He'll pull it out to look]

Sorry, let me take this. [Lucky for you, Yuri, he's distracted! It's now socially acceptable to slink off and have your own space for a while.]

[The phone call is a saving grace, really. He has barely been here for a day and already he's ready to implode, overwhelmed as he is. So he quickly finishes his food as Victor goes off, making a brief stop to rinse his plate. All things considered, this was certainly not the worst first meal he could have had here.

Hiding out in the room he'd been given would only work out for so long. Yuri isn't a terribly social creature, but he's not above loneliness and a need for human contact every now and then. So even if he doesn't actually engage in conversation with Victor, still trying to figure out how to cope with this...sharing the same living space thing, he's grateful not to be stranded alone.

The morning the forecasted storm hits, he's meandering around the kitchen in an overlarge, borrowed tshirt and shorts almost small enough to disappear under the hem of it. He's searching for the coffee when the power first flickers.]

Victor...? Does this place have backup power?

[wauuu]

[the sky is dark out, so even though it's day, the place goes dark half a moment. There's a yelp sound. It's Victor, who stepped directly onto a stray dog bone like it was a leggo. He peeks around the corner of the kitchen when the lights come back on, holding his foot.]

I have a small generator, but it won't keep the whole place warm. We should pick a room to hole up in, if the grid goes down.

[Yuri had jumped at the shout, but collected himself before Victor popped around the corner. He makes a face but nods at the logic of that.]

Maybe one of the smaller ones so it warms up faster.

[He wrinkles his nose some at the idea of losing power in a damned Siberian snowstorm, but there isn't much he can do about it. He turns back to what he was doing, hoping to at least finish the coffee before they no longer had the capability for the day. And gives Victor an inadvertent look at his choice of attire when his shirt lifted up far enough. The shorts were something of a joke gift that he hadn't thought to just leave at home, given that they were comfortable for sleeping in.

So, congratulations, Victor. You get to watch your crush walking around in tiny shorts that read Are You Nasty? across the backside.]

[it takes Victor a moment to notice anything beyond legs, beautiful legs, the words written on the ass of the shorts make him hold in a chuckle]

I'll go shut the heat and extra lights off now, before the generator kicks in. My room has a space heater, but we could move it into the studio if you wanted to spend time in there.

If we can move it back and forth, that works. I really don't want to get sedentary while I'm here.

[Because then the guy would get to watch him gain weight so fast that his stretch marks would get darker again and honestly he didn't feel like living with that embarrassment.

He comes over with a large mug of coffee, made the way he'd learned Victor liked it, then settles into the arm of the couch with his legs folded up in front of him. He could at least enjoy it before they have to figure out the heating situation.]

[Victor will busy himself, getting a bit of a feel for how Yuri liked him. Namely, not overbearing down on him, offering something every three seconds. Be cool, Victor, if he wants anything, he'll ask... probably. The older man goes to turn the house heating off, the natural and forgettable hum of the A/C sputtering to a stop. A certain quiet stillness is left behind, which was oddly disquieting, like the heart of the house has suddenly stopped beating. He'll turn off the extraneous lighting, just leaving on a trail of lamps to light their way down to the dark kitchen if they needed.

After that, he'll picking up his space heater and taking it to the studio, plugging it in. The room was warm enough already, so it would stay that way despite how relatively small the heater was.

Whenever Yuri peaks in, Victor is doing some basic ballet stretches against the wall. His long limbs extend and bounce, his eyes closed and peaceful. Makkachin is curled up right next to the heater, stirring when the door opens to look up at Yuri, before settling back in a warm pile of fur]

[Now that Victor was leaving him alone, harsh as that might sound, Yuri feels a lot better about living here. It's less stifling, and he was actually somewhat more inclined to spend time in the other man's company.

When the darkness gets to be a little too much and the silence makes his ears itch, Yuri picks himself up and pads to the studio, the path lit by lamps along the way. Why were there no candles? That would be more practical, wouldn't it? He'd have to suggest it later. And with that thought in mind he settles down on the floor beside Makkachin, scratching at the dog's ears as he nosed up onto his thigh to rest his head there.]

You're lucky you're covered in fur.

[wauuu]

Hmm? [he'll peek an eye open, spotting Yuri with the dog before closing his eyes again with a dismissive hum, continuing his stretch]

If you want to put music on, my phone is over there. Should be unlocked.

[Yuri looks up at him, ears burning slightly as he nodded and glanced around for the phone, thumbing it and frowning slightly at the Russian. He could read most of it, but he was forced to stare blankly as he tried to remember some things. He went through to a playlist and flipped through until he found a song he recognized, and smiled a bit bashfully as he set it to play. It's nice and quiet in the almost eerily silent house.]

[Victor hears the music start up and it occurs to him he should practice his movements so he didn't get rusty on them. Moving from the mirror, he'll go toward the center of the studio, before requesting]
