wauuu This bed is too large

Throbbing. His head is throbbing, and even the light on the other side of his eyelids is too much for him to handle. How much did he drink? Does he even want to know how much he drank? Why had he drank? He knew better, he should have known this would happen-

Oh ugh why does his mouth taste like this...

A deep groan precedes him when he finally rolls out of bed. Why can't he feel carpet underfoo- oh there it is. It's thicker than he remembers it being. His eyes haven't opened yet. He actually has the comforter he'd been tangled up in wrapped around himself tightly, part of it up over his head. His stocking feet are nearly silent as he pads his way down an unfamiliar hall in an unfamiliar house in search of water. He could worry about the rest later, but right this second, he is a spectre in a white duvet in search of relief for his cottonmouth.

Ahahaa! Makkachin, please! [Victor will giggle, the dog smothering him until Yuuri gets up to his rescue. The dog turns on him and received the embrace and kiss with wiggling happiness. Victor will sit up, hair a tussled mess, but expression bright with his own enjoyment.]

Of course he is! He wants you all to himself, just like I do.

[Yuuri laughs with the snuffling of a nose in his ear, shrugging it away but leaving his arm draped over the dog's back.]

He can sleep in my bed tonight if he wants to. [Yknow, as if he wouldn't anyway.]

Woof woof! Can I come sleep in your bed, Yuuri? I will be a good boy, I promise.

[He wrinkles his nose some with that.]

Only if you don't decide to do something weird while you're there.

You're welcome to do something weird to me, but I won't instigate, I swear. I'd just like to stay close to you!

[He has to stop himself from laughing.]

That's a dumb joke.

It's even funnier because I'm serious!

You're making me rethink the invitation now.

I'm sorry, Yuuri. I don't think I'm very good at this... [He wants a spot in your bed! They don't have to do anything but sleep...]

I want to be close to you! I won't be pushy, if you don't like it. I just... Don't mind if you're pushy, with me.

Victor, you've kind of been pushy this whole time. I appreciate that you're trying to make me feel comfortable here but you're trying way too hard and it's making it a lot weirder...

[He sighs and leans against Makkachin with his face half buried in fur.]

[wauuu]

[Victor might look a little offended a moment, but then he laughs, utterly embarrassed]

Too desperate? This is.... [he'll rub his palm over his neck] ... new, for me! I'll try to relax.

Desperate? Ah...no, mostly just overeager. Unless this was what you were aiming for the entire time.

[Which he looks kind of worried about now. Why would Victor do that?]

[He's not sure what Yuuri means by "this"...]

[He might be more frustrated with Victor's apparent cluelessness, if he hadn't at least sort of gotten used to it by now.]

Trying to talk me into letting you crawl into bed with me like a lovesick puppy.

[He sighs and picks himself up off the floor, his ears burning as he heads off into the main house.

which...is actually a lot brighter than it has been lately. The power was back on?]

Hey, I think we can put the heaters away finally...

[wauuu]

I--[am a lovesick puppy! He's distracted by the renewal of his energy grid, going to go check out the control panel of his house, since that's a thing a house this modern has]

Power is all back, seems like. Here, let's get the place warmed up again. The snow is still piled up, but we'll be better off on the grid.

[Yuuri nods, the weirdness from before pushed to the back of his mind for the moment. He moves through the house to start adjusting the thermostats so that at least the temperature stays even throughout. Makkachin is clacking after him, licking at his hand whenever he slows down enough, just trying to get Yuuri to lighten up a little bit. He really is just like his owner in that regard.

Once the rounds have been made and Yuuri has retrieved his sweater to be able to hide in it, he heads out to the sitting room to curl up in the arm of the couch, his new phone plugged into the charger it had come with.There still isn't a signal, but it's better than being in the red with his battery life.]

[Victor is SO confused by this. It's mixed message central, honestly. If Yuuri had shoved him away at the initial kiss, it would make sense, but he'd gotten a kiss in return! Now Yuuri was scooting away from him again... it felt like a leap forward only to fall down the stairs. He'll float around the first floor a bit aimless, finally thinking up a task before it was too awkward for him to be around.]

Tea?

[Victor doesn't get it. HJe's so used to getting what he wants that when he doesn't, it's alarming and he doesn't seem to know how to cope. At least, that's the conclusion that Yuuri's come to, huddled down in the couch while waiting for the house to warm up.

He draws his knees up in front of him with his hands tucked in between this thighs as he looks up at Victor, looking rather tired even at the offer of tea.]

Do we have any ginger left?

[wauuu]

[That's pretty spot on, to be real. Victor didn't really have to pursue, he got flocked to. He just wants to Yuuri to like him... the actual him, not a reflection the man saw on TV or in a magazine. Victor hadn't chosen his image, nobody could do that for themselves. There's a dreadful feeling that he's disappointing Yuuri with his real self....]

Yes. I'll make some. Do you like cinnamon? [ginger tea is good with some cinnamon, especially when trying to warm up]

[That was initially why he tried to keep his distance; no matter how much he might have hero-worshiped the man, he couldn't bring himself to just glom on and demand to be acknowledged. He wanted to get to know Victor, and have the man at least appreciate him in turn rather than turning him into some kind of conquest. And the idea that it had happened anyway stung.

He nods at the question of cinnamon in his tea, though he does add] Just a little so it doesn't get really strong, ok?

[Victor definitely likes Yuuri far more than a conquest, otherwise he'd still be pushing it, making more of a game about it. With Yuuri, he's more cautious, willing to pull back and try to meet him where he was, not where Victor wanted him to be.]

Just a little, okay. [he'll busy himself with the task, mixing some cinnamon in with loose leaves. A little honey, too, just enough to sweeten it up, take some of bite and spice out so it wasn't overwhelming.]

[Victor was good at tea, much better than he was, at least. He crawls out of the couch when he could smell it steeping, standing off to one side to wait until he's handed his cup. He thanks Victor quietly and retreats again, perching on the edge of the couch with his cup atop his knees in between sips while it slowly cools.]

[The tea is poured with a fond smile, but he doesn't say anything, just watching Yuuri a moment. The young man was rethinking what happened, wasn't he? Just like the night before, he must have gotten swept up in the moment and done something he found regrettable. Victor does want to, but he knows it's better to leave Yuuri his space when he gets like this.]

I'm going to take a shower, I'll be out to make dinner, after. [He assumed dinner was on him, as he went and made a mess of the routine. The "make yourself at home" has already been said, so he'll just take his cup of tea and go down the hall. He preferred the downstairs shower, in the room Yuuri had slept in the first night. It also meant he was away, but not very far.]
