wauuu This bed is too large

Throbbing. His head is throbbing, and even the light on the other side of his eyelids is too much for him to handle. How much did he drink? Does he even want to know how much he drank? Why had he drank? He knew better, he should have known this would happen-

Oh ugh why does his mouth taste like this...

A deep groan precedes him when he finally rolls out of bed. Why can't he feel carpet underfoo- oh there it is. It's thicker than he remembers it being. His eyes haven't opened yet. He actually has the comforter he'd been tangled up in wrapped around himself tightly, part of it up over his head. His stocking feet are nearly silent as he pads his way down an unfamiliar hall in an unfamiliar house in search of water. He could worry about the rest later, but right this second, he is a spectre in a white duvet in search of relief for his cottonmouth.

No problem! This room will stay warm a few hours, at least. You want time alone in there? [he can occupy himself, if Yuuri wanted space. After invading the room for sleep, it's probably the least he can offer]

[He shrugs, looking a little bashful. On the one hand he could use time to himself when he hasn't really felt like he's had any since he got here, even with Victor making a concerted effort to be as accommodating as possible. On the other, he actually had started to enjoy the man's company, now that he was learning to relax a little on that Good Host thing. That would only really work for so long before Yuuri gets tired of it. It clearly wasn't a normal thing for Victor when he'd started it.]

Um...Maybe you could try and start on breakfast? Since I made coffee and we can both wake up a little more.

That sounds good, let me bundle up more. [he'll swallow down his coffee and get out of bed. He goes down and makes some quick, decent omelettes on the stove top, bringing them up to the warm studio to eat. Makkachin gets one for himself, because Victor is a loser about spoiling his pup. He sits back and finishes another cup of coffee, simply watching Yuuri.]

Do you want to work on that duette more today?

[Yuuri has been lingering out of the way as he sips on his own coffee, just thumbing through his phone, answering messages and assuring people that he's fine. Better than fine, actually, in spite of the weirdness. He looks up at Victor and accepts his breakfast, smiling faintly at the steaming eggs. The question makes him pause though.]

The...oh, Stay Close To Me? Uh. [It's a good way to stay active and engaged at least, so why not?] Sure. If you want to.

[Victor eats his omelette pretty quickly, setting it down for Makkachin to lick the plate greedily. One more sip of coffee and he's beginning his stretches. Some yoga and ballet was good in the morning, shake out the stiffness of sleep.]

I'm having fun with it! I haven't toyed with a couples piece before.

[Yuuri watches for a while as he eats, appreciating that he'd have something warm in his stomach before he had to actually be up and moving.]

I've never done couple skating, period. Working with other people is...I don't do it very much. [He's stubborn and loses steam too fast to really make any progress when it comes to developing programs in general, and the anxiety that comes with working with other people rather than just following along...well. Victor would probably learn that from his coach, if the two ever talked.]

Choreography isn't for everybody, I just happen to love it. Besides, we're just passing the time, I'm enjoying the piece. The Duette version hasn't been on my mind in a while. [it pleases Victor to be watched during his stretches, he had quite the body to watch, after all]

I didn't even know there was a duet until you showed me. [He stands as he admits that, leaving the last bite for Makkachin to scarf up. He starts to stretch just as Victor has been, taking it easy for the time being just to get the circulation going again. He's not as aesthetically pleasing as Victor really, but he doesn't go in for looking nice during training. Everything is utilitarian at that stage, in his mind.]

[Not pleasing to look at.... Victor would beg to differ. He's got his eyes on Yuuri, looking rather distracted from his words.]

Hmm? Oh, I don't think I posted it, anywhere. I only had it for myself.

[It's starting to warm up in the studio again by now ay least, and he considers changing into his clothes from the day before instead of the track pants he'd been wearing to stave off the cold of the halls. He lifts up onto his toes in a languid stretch then turns in place on one.]

You commissioned both versions of the piece even though you didn't think you'd use one of them?

The song felt right for a duette, but then... it was strange to skate to, alone. [he closes his eyes, thinking of what he meant as he let his body stretch and relax]

Insincere.

[Yuuri is still going through his warmups as he listens.]

Why not ask someone else under your coach to skate it with you? I'm certain you'd find someone that would be interested. I mean, who wouldn't be?

[He only realizes a second later what he'd said, and his face turns pink again as he turns his back and puts his leg up on the bar along the wall to cover his embarrassment.]

[That was a rather bold thing to hear from Yuuri. He can only be bold in response.]

It's not a just anyone kind of song. [Yuuri, you are special and he wants to dance it with you.]

[He's fighting the urge to put his face in his hands and shrivel up the hotter it gets. He's not dumb, nor is he dense. He is ,however, incredibly flustered by the very notion of Viktor holding any interest in him at all outside of 'the guy that now lives in my house for a while'.]

I...yeah...I guess you're right.

[Victor will see the flushed expression and give Yuuri a break, joking]

Dancing with you is fun. You've only stepped on my feet twice! That's not bad at all, considering all the times I've elbowed you. [it's too many times on accident, at this point, there has been a lot of apologizing. Suddenly working with a partner is an adjustment, for sure]

You know, it's lucky that you haven't accidentally split my lip at this point. [He huffs a little with that, distracted at least for the moment from the embarrassment. He shakes his head and continues his stretches, then stands up to offer Victor his hand.] Maybe this time I can work on not stepping on your feet.

[he'll do something to your lips, alright-- I mean, shhh, brain, stop that.... He takes Yuuri's hand to help himself reposition from his stretch, getting two feet firmly on the ground]

I said sorry! You haven't been nearly as clumsy as I have.

What if I choose to believe you do it on purpose? [He knows it's not true. It's probably the furthest thing from the truth possible. But teasing Victor does have some entertainment value when it's not serious. He smirks faintly when he's back upright, heading out of the studio to go and change into something he won't get gross in as he sweats in the slightly too-warm room.]

I wouldn't do that on purpose! Yuuriii! [whine whine, and he's gone. Victor puffs a bit and goes to set up the music to play. Just got to occupy themselves, while the power is still out and the snow still piled up outside]

[When he returns, Yuuri is dressed back down in the shorts he'd slept in and an overlarge tshirt that would keep him covered up and comfortable. He takes off his glasses and puts them down on the floor beside Makkachin, murmuring for him to keep an eye on them before turning his attention back to Victor.]

Ok, I've got a proposal for you: If we can do this all the way through without hurting one-another at all, I'll make supper. [He has ideas for it after all, and given that the stove could presumably be run on the generator's power without tipping it over (he thinks), it would be worth a try.]

You're on! I'll focus up, no more throwing elbows. [it would be easier now he wasn't actually choreographing the number so much as they were running through it for practice. The time really does just melt away when they dance together, Victor only thinking to stop when he was so exhausted he needed a 15 minute breather. He's back at it over and over, mindful and graceful, holding up his end of that proposal well. It would be nearing a good early dinner time for them before Victor was feeling done for]

Alright, one more time! Then I'm too tired to go on. [he chuckles, but he doesn't seem to have the stamina Yuuri has]

[Yuuri is sitting down for a second after the last run through, sipping on his bottle of water as he gets his breath back. He's definitely not as tired as Victor looks, but they have been at this for hours and his energy is starting to wane.]

I think we're starting to really get it down now. [He looks rather satisfied with the idea as he stands back up again, taking up the starter position that the two of them had arranged. He turns gracefully on one foot in place of the routine's proposed first steps, a substitute more suited to working on solid ground. Maybe soon they would be able to start putting the routine together on ice, but for now this was still good.

With Victor's entrance, Yuuri softens and starts to move around him, mindful of his feet as much as he needs to be to keep from coming down on Victor's toes again. They're moving together more and more easily, and he finds himself dipping further, more dramatically around Victor, his arm around the other man's neck. He smiles up at Victor and lays a hand on the man's face then braces to be lifted, something that he never would have allowed someone to do before now.]

[It's really very graceful, the two of their bodies moving around each other, in tandem with each other, supporting and accentuating each other.... Victor lifts Yuuri, holding him up and looking at him like he's the center of the universe. In this moment, he is all there is. It's just a short lift, it's almost painful for it to end, and Victor can't help but change the motions. He'll hold Yuuri steady, dipping him down with passion, not once losing eye contact. Lovely, big, brown eyes.... his heart can't handle it.

Victor kisses him, square on the lips.]

[The new move catches Yuuri offguard, his eyes widening without looking away from Victor. Before he can formulate a reaction Victor's lips are pressed against his and it's half reflexive when he reciprocates it.

Of course, then the world comes back and he lets go of the hold he'd had on Victor to keep himself off the ground, slipping out of the man's grip to flop straight down on his back. He lays there with the breath knocked out of him, face turning redder by the second as he breathes slowly, his hands still raised in his surprise.]

Y-Yuuri! [Victor stumbles as the man let's go of him falling forward onto his hands and knees on top of the man. He's not putting any weight on the man, but they're so close and they just kissed, and he swore Yuuri had returned the kiss. He looks down at him with uttermost concern]

You let go of me, I'm sorry-- are you alright?
